KA Kids Martial Arts
- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF -
Children's martial arts & life skills. Ages 5 to 18 throughout Birmingham and Solihull.
Welcome to KA Martial Arts, where martial arts training is enriched by a deep understanding of the human mind. Our unique approach blends physical discipline with nurturing mental resilience, preparing your child not just with self-defence skills, but also building curiosity, awareness, and confidence.
Over the past 13 years, we've developed a syllabus rooted in modern psychology and evidence-based practices. This distinctive approach sets us apart from traditional clubs, as it enables us to craft a learning environment that is not only engaging and effective, but also responsive to the unique needs of all children, including those who are neurodivergent.
At KA Martial Arts, we celebrate diversity and inclusivity. We firmly believe that martial arts can be a powerful tool for personal growth for every child, regardless of their background or individual differences. Here, every child is welcome and valued.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Our founder and head instructor is not just a martial arts coach, but also a scholar of consciousness studies, a qualified mindfulness coach, and a yoga and meditation teacher with over 1000 hours of training, recognised as a Yoga Elder. This unique combination of skills and knowledge sets KA Martial Arts apart from other martial arts academies.
This unique blend of expertise enables us to provide your child with important life skills and mental abilities that aren't typically included in mainstream education or other martial arts academies. ”At KA Martial Arts, we're not just building martial artists, we're cultivating resilient, mindful, and confident individuals ready to navigate the complexities of modern society.“
OUR UNIQUE APPROACH
At KA Martial Arts, our approach is comprehensive, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of personal growth.
Our physical training emphasises highly effective self-protection methods, drawing on practical elements from martial arts disciplines like Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We understand that ring or cage fight training, while a skill set in its own right, doesn't always adapt well to real-life situations. Hence, our focus is on empowering students with practical skills that serve them in everyday life, rather than preparing them for professional fights.
On the mental and emotional front, we strive to cultivate an open, supportive environment. We consciously move away from outdated phrases commonly used in martial arts that can unintentionally promote 'toxic positivity'. Instead, we encourage honest expression of feelings and equip our students to handle emotional challenges constructively.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
At KA Martial Arts, we're not just training martial artists—we're nurturing well-rounded kids who believe in their capacity to tackle life's challenges. Our motto, "Believe in Yourself", forms the core of our teaching philosophy. It's not just about handling physical confrontations; it's about developing the mental and emotional resilience to navigate all aspects of life. At KA, students grow stronger, more resilient, and more capable, learning to truly believe in themselves and their abilities.
